Indy Eleven Welcomes First Home Playoff Match Since 2019
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indy Eleven are gearing up to face Rhode Island FC this Sunday, marking their first home playoff match in five years. The excitement kicks off at 1 p.m., with gates opening at noon, but the festivities at Michael A. Carroll Stadium extend beyond just the game.
Joe Gentry, the director of communications for Indy Eleven, shared details about the event: “We got the fun zone going where you can make your friendship bracelet, you can get your souvenir program with an Eras-themed souvenir poster, we got Taylor Swift cookies from Taylor’s Bakery.”
This year has been remarkable for both fans and players alike. The Boys in Blue secured the #4 seed in the Eastern Conference, finishing the season with a record of 14 wins, 11 losses, and 9 draws, totaling 51 points. These numbers represent the second-best performance in franchise history within USLC, only surpassed by their achievements in 2019.
“The guys have worked really hard nine months to get to this point,” Gentry said.
The Eleven have earned their fourth playoff berth in six seasons of USLC play. Their last consecutive playoff appearances were recorded back in 2018 and 2019.
