Home Depot Prices to Remain Unchanged Amid Tariffs
The Home Depot has announced that most of its prices will remain stable despite tariffs, while other major retailers have increased their prices due to the import taxes. The home improvement retailer's chief financial officer, Richard McPhail, attributed this stability to the company's diversification of its merchandise sources over the years.
“More than half of the items we sell are made in the U.S.”
However, tariffs could still cause some items to become more expensive or even eliminate certain products from The Home Depot's offerings. Despite this, the company missed its first-quarter earnings expectations for the first time since May 2020 but beat sales estimates.
