Republic Airways to Merge with Mesa Air Group

Republic Airways has agreed to merge with Mesa Air Group, creating Republic Airways Holdings Inc., a leading regional carrier in America. The merged company will retain its NASDAQ ticker symbol "RJET" and be led by Republic's executive team."This is an exciting step in our 40-year history," said Jonathan Ornstein, CEO of Mesa Air Group. Mesa Air Group is based in Phoenix, Arizona and will support United Airlines through a new 10-year agreement.Republic's CEO Bryan Bedford was recently nominated by President Donald Trump to lead the Federal Aviation Administration.
