YouTube TV Increases Monthly Subscription Fee by $10

YouTube TV has announced a $10 increase in its monthly subscription fee, effective January 13. The new price will be set at $82.99 for existing customers, while new subscribers will see the updated rate applied immediately.

In a message to customers, YouTube TV stated, "We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this impacts our members. With many exciting shows and live events coming up in 2025, we remain committed to bringing you the best of TV, all in one place."

Launched in 2017 as an affordable alternative to traditional cable and satellite services, YouTube TV started with a monthly fee of $34.99. However, over the years, several price hikes have occurred due to the addition of channels and live events like the NFL Sunday Ticket.

The streaming service pointed to "rising cost of content" as the primary reason for this latest increase. Additionally, YouTube TV has welcomed user feedback regarding the price change.
