Eras Tour Fan's Viral Halloween Costume Results in Unforgettable Concert Experience

INDIANAPOLIS — A young boy from Kentucky, Henry Hinson, recently gained viral fame for his creative Halloween costume inspired by the Eras Tour. On Friday, he enjoyed his time in Indianapolis as he prepared to attend the concert.

Henry dressed up as Kam Saunders, a dancer from the Eras Tour. His mother crafted the costume to resemble the oversized fans that dancers use during the first song of the performance.

The family was exploring downtown Indianapolis when they encountered News 8 on Illinois Street just before the concert started.

Henry had been planning this costume since he saw Taylor Swift’s concert film in theaters last year. “I was like Mom I want to be that for Halloween next year,” Hinson recalled. "And she said, ‘Buddy, it’s not even Halloween this year yet.’”

His viral moment caught the attention of Taylor Swift and her management team at Taylor Nation, who generously offered him two ADA-compliant seats for the concert.

“When she told me, I just broke down,” Hinson expressed. “But before I broke down, I started screaming. And then immediately started crying because I was so happy.”

Henry feels grateful for this opportunity to attend a show that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, emphasizing that everyone has a place regardless of their appearance.

“It shows so much diversity,” Hinson noted. “Because the person I am portraying is a Black plus size dancer, so that just shows a lot of diversity and equity that they put into that (show).”

He admitted he struggles to find words to express his gratitude for all the support he has received, which he described as overwhelming. He also mentioned gaining a glimpse into what Taylor Swift experiences daily.
