Swifties Seek Last-Minute Tickets as Eras Tour Nears Conclusion
INDIANAPOLIS — Night Two of The Eras Tour concluded in Swift City on Saturday, drawing fans from all over the country to Lucas Oil Stadium. Many attendees, still searching for tickets as the tour nears its end, were eager to secure last-minute passes.
“We actually got in to buy tickets today at the earlier drop but got knocked out while I was buying tickets, so we were really disappointed,” shared Karen Pedersen. She traveled from Chicago with her teenage daughter Jenna, joining other hopeful fans downtown.
As ticket prices surged on resale sites like StubHub and Ticketmaster, Karen expressed her frustration: “They’re just like immediately on for thousands and thousands of dollars; it’s really frustrating.” Jenna added, “The lowest I’ve seen on StubHub is like $1,300; even then that’s really expensive.”
Despite the high costs, some Swifties were ready to pay a premium. A mom from Ohio said, “I feel like $1,000 would be like my max. I mean this is going to be our first concert. But we haven’t gotten as lucky today as we thought.”
Fortunately, other fans managed to score last-minute tickets. “We drove all the way from Philadelphia and just kept watching StubHub and Ticketmaster,” recounted Katherine Scott, who attended with her daughter Tracey. They finally secured their tickets just a day before the show.
“We cried; it’s a mother-daughter bonding moment that we have. She puts on the best show,” Katherine reminisced about their previous concerts together. “We flew to Austin to see her. We went to Good Morning America and slept on the streets of New York to catch her there.”
Other attendees echoed similar sentiments about their hopes for an unforgettable experience in Swift City. Jenna expressed excitement saying, “This would be like the best experience of my life being with my mom and being able to see the concert. It would be so amazing.”
