IMPD Reveals Changes to Outbound Traffic Flow for Night 2 of the Eras Tour

INDIANAPOLIS — The second night of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is set to take place in downtown Indianapolis, attracting over 200,000 fans. In response to the expected surge in traffic, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has announced changes to the outbound traffic flow starting at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The following adjustments will be made:

  1. West St/Washington St: Southbound traffic will be prohibited and diverted westbound on Washington St.
  2. West St/Maryland: No southbound or eastbound traffic will be allowed at Maryland St. All vehicles will be directed northbound on West St.
  3. Washington/Schumacher Way: Traffic from the White River State Park parking lot will be directed westbound.
  4. Washington St: No southbound traffic will be permitted onto Schumacher or Maryland Streets.
  5. SB West St at I-70 Westbound: All traffic will be directed onto I-70 westbound only.
  6. Madison Ave/McCarty St.: Only southbound traffic will be allowed on Madison Ave.

The rideshare pickup locations remain unchanged: a designated zone on South Street between Missouri and West Streets will operate from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday through Sunday. Additionally, there is a parent pickup zone available near Delaware and South Streets during those hours.

IMPD noted that two of these changes were successfully implemented during the previous night's outbound traffic management.

The department plans to maintain a significant presence downtown for the event, particularly around Lucas Oil Stadium, Monument Circle, and the Indiana Convention Center.
