Porch Party Underway at Harrison Center
INDIANAPOLIS — With less than 23 days to go before the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway has kicked off its first porch party at the Harrison Center.
The event is designed to have fans show off their decorated spaces and celebrate "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." Organizers say it's all about bringing communities together and rolling out the red carpet for visitors.
"We want to create a fun atmosphere where people can come together, enjoy some food and drink, and just celebrate racing," said an event organizer. "It's not just about the track; it's about the community that comes with it."
The next Porch Party is scheduled for Saturday at the Fishers Farmers market, starting at 8 a.m.
