Over 12 Arrests Conducted in DEA Drug Raids Across Central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — A series of coordinated drug raids conducted by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) resulted in the arrest of over 12 individuals on Wednesday morning.

Authorities executed warrants across Marion, Johnson, Owen, and Hamilton counties. During these operations, law enforcement seized a significant quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana, along with multiple firearms. The arrests included one at the state level and twelve at the federal level.

This extensive investigation has been underway for several months, involving collaboration between the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), DEA, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Law enforcement officials have identified numerous individuals involved in drug trafficking throughout Indiana. According to police reports, these suspects are also linked to incidents of widespread violence.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office stated that their SWAT team played a crucial role in assisting the DEA with federal court orders served at a residence located on Churchill Street.

In Marion County, a DEA spokesperson confirmed that raids occurred on W. 31st Street and S. Taft Street.

Marion County is classified as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), highlighting its significant drug-related challenges.
