Two Individuals Charged with Serious Felonies Following Fentanyl Seizure Capable of Producing 18,000 Doses
HAGERSTOWN, Ind. — Two residents from east central Indiana are facing serious felony charges after law enforcement discovered a substantial amount of fentanyl capable of producing 18,000 lethal doses, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
During a search warrant execution on Monday at a home on Dalton Road in Wayne County, approximately 7 miles north of Hagerstown, deputies and Indiana State Police troopers also uncovered methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription pills, four firearms, and other evidence indicative of narcotic dealing.
The investigation primarily focused on the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics.
Dallas William Crawford, 43, from Hagerstown, and Kristi Talbott, 44, from Moreland, have each been preliminarily charged with felonies related to the dealing of Schedule I, II, or III substances and the distribution of cocaine or narcotic drugs. As of Wednesday afternoon, no court cases were listed online for either individual.
Crawford faces additional lesser felony charges for possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and assisting a criminal. He is also facing two misdemeanor charges.
Talbott is charged with maintaining a common nuisance and is being held on outstanding warrants from neighboring Randolph and Henry counties.
