Warm and Pleasant Weekend Ahead | November 1, 2024

INDIANAPOLIS – A warm and pleasant weekend is on the horizon, following a cool end to the week. Enjoy sunny skies and rising temperatures, with rain expected by Sunday.

TODAY: This morning starts off chilly, with temperatures in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees. Expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day. After several days of above-average warmth, our high temperatures will return to normal for this time of year, reaching into the upper 50s near 60 degrees.

We received some much-needed rain yesterday, just in time for October's close. Despite being on track for one of the driest Octobers on record with less than a tenth of an inch at Indianapolis International Airport, yesterday's rainfall means we finish as the 8th driest October instead.

TONIGHT: For those attending zone football games, conditions will be perfect with mostly clear skies. Temperatures will begin in the mid-50s at kickoff and drop into the lower 50s by game’s end. Expect clear and cool weather tonight, with lows dipping into the 30s.

SATURDAY: The weekend begins with a brisk start in the 30s but transitions to sunny skies and dry conditions as temperatures rise into the 60s.

Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before heading to bed Saturday night as we "fall back" to standard time. It's also a great opportunity to check that your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have fresh batteries.

SUNDAY: Showers may make an appearance on Sunday, but warmer temperatures are expected with highs reaching into the 70s.
