The police chief of Springfield Township, Ohio, identified the woman as Terea Brown, 42. Authorities believe Brown is responsible for the death of Lacresha Black, 33, whose body was discovered outside her home shortly after 7 a.m. Investigators report that Brown fled the scene in a dark-colored 2014 Chevrolet Cruze.
While Indiana State Police have not publicly confirmed the identity of the woman who was shot in Clinton County near Frankfort, they indicated that the incident began as a traffic stop that escalated into a chase. This pursuit ended near a BP gas station and Get Go convenience store at the State Road 28 exit.
According to Indiana State Police, shots were fired from Brown’s vehicle during the encounter, prompting at least one officer to return fire. Tragically, she died at the scene; however, authorities confirmed that no officers were injured during this incident.
