Andrew Luck Appointed General Manager of Stanford Football Program
PALO ALTO, Cal. — Former Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is set to return to Stanford University as the general manager of its football program.
In this new position, Luck will oversee all aspects of the football program, marking a departure from the traditional role of a college general manager, according to ESPN College Gameday Insider Pete Thamel.
His responsibilities will encompass both the competitive and business sides of football, including managing coaches, recruiting, and roster management.
“I’m excited,” Luck told ESPN. “I think Stanford is taking an assertive and innovative step. We’re undoubtedly the best athletic department in college sports. We have to re-prove it in football, and we’re excited to be part of that challenge.”
