Chuck Pagano Believes Jim Irsay Has Much to Be Thankful For

INDIANAPOLIS — With Thanksgiving just around the corner, former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano shared his thoughts on what Colts owner Jim Irsay has to be thankful for this season. When asked who stands out among the players, Pagano highlighted one name: Kenny Moore II.

“Since he stepped into that building in 2017, he’s been one of the most consistent performers, both on and off the field,” said Pagano. “He’s a great team leader. He’s a great captain. He does unbelievable things in the community.”

Earlier this month, Moore II exemplified his commitment to giving back by distributing turkeys and drinks at Grace Car Center Pantry in Noblesville to local families in need. “I just don’t want to stop something that my parents taught me,” Moore stated. “Giving actually helps me stay sane and keep going.”

Pagano also praised Moore II's leadership skills when he held his teammates accountable following their third consecutive loss. “The guy had the stones to go ahead and hold his teammates accountable,” Pagano remarked. “And we know when you have leaders like Kenny Moore II in the locker room who will do that, look at what happens—look at the transformation we saw in such a short period of time.”

The Colts (5-6) are set to face off against the Lions on Sunday as they aim to return to a .500 record. The Lions are currently riding an impressive eight-game winning streak, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
