Indiana Pacers Acquire Former IU Player Thomas Bryant in Trade

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers have acquired center Thomas Bryant in a trade with the Miami Heat, sending a future second-round draft pick in return, according to reports from ESPN.

Bryant, who will be eligible to play starting Sunday, joins the Pacers as they seek to bolster their roster following injuries to key players Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman, both of whom suffered torn Achilles tendons.

At 27 years old, Bryant previously played college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers from 2015 to 2017. He was also part of the Denver Nuggets team that clinched victory in the 2023 NBA Finals.

The Pacers are set to face off against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday at 7 p.m., looking to improve their current standing.
