Indianapolis Bound: Pacers Ready to Take on the Best in NBA Playoffs

The Indiana Pacers are heading to the NBA playoffs after the Atlanta Hawks' loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday night. Although they didn't play themselves, the team is celebrating their entry into the postseason.

"We're excited to be in this position," said Pacers coach Nate McLeod. "We've worked hard all season and it's a great feeling to know we'll have home-court advantage if we can secure a top-four seed."

The Pacers will now wait to find out who they'll face in the first round of the playoffs. According to current standings, they could possibly play the Detroit Pistons, with a home-court advantage at stake.

The team's "magic number" is 5, which means they need just five more wins or losses by other teams to secure their spot and gain that advantage.

In celebration of their playoff berth, the Pacers put out a poster on social media and shared a link for tickets. This marks the second consecutive year the team has made it to the playoffs, but last season's experience was cut short when they were swept by the Boston Celtics in the conference championship series.

The Pacers will be back in action on Wednesday night, taking on the Charlotte Hornets with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
