Indiana's Own: Greenfield-Central Star Takes the Court for Local Family at McDonald's All-American Game

The McDonald's All American Games are a highlight of high school basketball every year, showcasing some of the top players in the country. But beyond the competition, the games also make a meaningful impact on communities.

This year, Greenfield-Central High School star Braylon Mullins is teaming up with Ronald McDonald House Charities to honor and uplift a local family facing medical challenges.

Mullins will represent the Maisonneuve family during the game on Monday night. The Maisonnevues are from Michigan City, Indiana, and have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana in Indianapolis with their son Amari, who has been battling Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome since birth.

Jamie Maisonneuve, a mother from Michigan City, Indiana, has been staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana in Indianapolis with her son Amari, who has been battling Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome since birth. Amari has been in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) since August.

Thanks to RMHC, Jamie is able to stay with Amari, his twin brother Lennox, and their older brother Logan while two of her teenage daughters remain at home. RMHC has been a source of comfort and community for Jamie, who says, “It feels like home here. The kindness of the staff and the understanding of other parents make us feel like we are all one big family.”

To show his support, Mullins will wear a custom Ronald McDonald House Charities-branded shoe tag featuring the Maisonneuve family's name during shootaround before Monday's game. After the game, the autograph shoe tags will be given to the Maisonneuve family.

The girls McDonald's All American Game will take place on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. EDT, followed by the boys game, which is set to start around 9:00 p.m. EDT. Both games will be played inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
