Indy Unites Sports Fans with Doubleheader Spectacle

Indianapolis is gearing up for a rare sports doubleheader next weekend as the city prepares to host the NBA Eastern Conference Finals and the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500. For the first time in more than a decade, the Indiana Pacers and IndyCar are both taking center stage in the Circle City.

The Pacers will play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, while just a few miles away, thousands of fans will gather at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Indy 500.

"From a fan's perspective, it's an incredible experience to have two major sporting events happening back-to-back," said Emil Ekiyor, WISH-TV contributor and former NFL player. "It's a chance for people to come together and enjoy some of the best entertainment that Indianapolis has to offer."

The weekend marks a unique moment for Indianapolis, highlighting its role as a major hub for both professional basketball and motorsports.
