Pacers' Comeback Win Over Knicks Leaves Caitlin Clark in Shock
Caitlin Clark, one of Indiana's biggest stars, was left stunned by the Pacers' come-from-behind 138-135 overtime win over the New York Knicks.
Clark said she took video of her reaction to Tyrese Haliburton's jumper that sent Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals into overtime. For now, she's keeping the video under wraps, but did offer a tease: "I have a video on my phone I'm never going to show anybody."
Clark had few personal highlights in the win, finishing with 11 points and six assists. She missed all five of her three-pointers, ending a streak of 140 games without missing a three-pointer.
Clark regretted not getting video of herself when Haliburton made the game-winning layup in the Pacers' decisive 119-118 win over Milwaukee that sent Indiana to the East final. She seized the opportunity to capture her reaction to the signature play.
"I mean, that team, they never give up," Clark said. "They find a way to defy the odds. You go back and look at the ESPN probability tracker and it was like 99.7% for the Knicks last night and that's just crazy."
Clark was so caught up in the game that she didn't even consider the impact of her favorite NBA team making the Eastern Conference finals.
