Pacers' Title Hopes Dashed in Game 7

The Indiana Pacers' title hopes were dashed in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, as they fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-91.

In a disappointing turn of events, Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a right lower leg injury in the first quarter and did not return to the game. According to his father, as reported by Lisa Salters of ESPN, the injury is an Achilles strain. Haliburton was seen in pain on the court, slamming the floor and yelling "No! No!"

Despite the loss, Pacers rookie Bennedict Mathurin showed promise with a team-high 24 points.

The Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 29 points. The win gave Oklahoma City their first NBA title since 2018.

This marks the Pacers' first appearance in the NBA Finals since 2000, making their loss to the Thunder a tough pill to swallow.
