Three Former Colts Selected as Semifinalists for Hall of Fame

CANTON, Ohio — The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced the 25 semifinalists for the Class of 2025, and among them are three former Indianapolis Colts: Adam Vinatieri, Robert Mathis, and Reggie Wayne.

This marks Reggie Wayne's sixth consecutive year as a semifinalist and Robert Mathis' fourth straight. For Adam Vinatieri, this is his first year of eligibility for the prestigious Hall of Fame.

While Jeff Saturday was included in the previous list of 50 candidates, he did not advance to the semifinals.

Notably, six players are eligible for the first time this year: Vinatieri, Luke Kuechly, Eli Manning, Terrell Suggs, Earl Thomas, and Marshal Yanda.

The next step involves narrowing down the list to 15 finalists. Though there is no fixed number of inductees each year, it typically ranges from four to eight players selected for enshrinement.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be revealed during the "NFL Honors" ceremony in February, with the official enshrinement taking place in August.

Wayne played all 14 years of his NFL career with the Colts. He was a six-time Pro Bowler and a one-time All-Pro, contributing to their Super Bowl XLI victory. In addition, he led the NFL in receiving yards in 2007.
Robert Mathis also spent all 13 seasons with the Colts. He was part of Super Bowl XLI winning team and earned five Pro Bowl selections along with one All-Pro recognition. Additionally, he holds the record for most forced fumbles in NFL history.
Adam Vinatieri had a remarkable career spanning 14 seasons in Indianapolis where he won Super Bowl XLI as well. He previously secured three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots and is recognized as the all-time leader in both field goals made and attempted.
