Track Takeover: Shred the Speedway Dominates

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway track was transformed into a workout space on Wednesday, as participants swapped their racing helmets for tennis shoes and got ready for an evening of exercise. The event, Shred the Speedway, was led by teachers from the Shred 415 fitness class and featured a full-body workout along the famous bricks.

Not only did participants get to experience a unique workout on the track, but they also had the opportunity to mingle with IndyCar drivers Conor Daly and Sting Ray Robb. The drivers made appearances throughout the event, signing shirts, taking pictures, and chatting with fans.

“Being able to workout on the track was a memorable experience,” said Vicky Rivera, a participant. “This is huge for Indy. This is May! It’s awesome to be out here with all of our Shred fam and all our community, and also just supporting a cause with the Indy Benevolent Foundation.”

The event raised funds for the IndyCar Benevolent Foundation, which provides resources and support to those in the IndyCar community facing hardships due to injuries or illness.
