Wrap Star: Pacers Fan's Unique Car Design Turns Heads in Indy

Andrew Dobler, known as the Pacers Superfan, has wrapped his car in Christmas wrapping paper, inspired by a truck he saw in Edmonton, Alberta, during the Stanley Cup finals.

“As soon as we saw that, we said, Andrew, you’ve got to do that with your car, man,” Andrew said.

The car wrap was completed in about 12 hours, with help from a friend named “Sophie,” and uses automotive masking tape to avoid damaging the paint.

Andrew initially considered using foil for the wrap but decided on Christmas wrapping paper held together with automotive masking tape.

The most challenging parts of the wrapping process were the bumpers and cutting out details like the Pacers logo.

Andrew has been driving the wrapped car around downtown, enjoying the reactions from people, especially near the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

He plans to show the car to his parents, who are unaware of the project, and hopes to keep the wrap on, depending on the outcome of the Pacers game on Sunday.

Andrew’s creative car wrap has garnered attention and excitement, with hopes to potentially feature it in a parade if the Pacers win Game 7.

Yes, ‘Cers, WISH-TV has photo galleries. For one Pacers fan, a unique car design is turning heads in Indy. Meet Dave Miller, who took his love for the Indiana Pacers to the next level by designing a custom car wrap featuring a star that resembles the team's logo."I wanted something that would make people notice my car," said Miller, who has been a Pacers fan since childhood. "I've always loved their branding and the energy of the team, so I thought, 'Why not bring that to my daily commute?'"Miller worked with a local design company to create the one-of-a-kind wrap, which features a 3D star resembling the Pacers' logo on the side of his car."I was blown away by how well it turned out," Miller said. "People are stopping me all the time and asking about it. It's great to see people getting excited about the team."
