Conquering Daylight Saving Time with Kroger's Free 'Hour Back Box'

Kroger is helping customers adjust to the lost hour of sleep caused by daylight saving time with its first-ever "Hour Back Box." Starting Tuesday, March 4, customers can score one of 39,000 free breakfast boxes filled with popular “Our Brands” breakfast essentials.

"Losing an hour of sleep during daylight saving can challenge parents and their family’s schedule," Tom Duncan, vice president and head of marketing at Kroger, said. "We created the Kroger Hour Back boxes to make daylight saving a little easier, helping parents and their families jump start the day with customer-favorite, morning time foods — from a much needed cup of coffee to a filling breakfast sandwich."

The limited-edition Kroger Hour Back Box includes breakfast favorites such as Private Selection Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, Simple Truth Oatmilk Creamer, and Kroger Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches. Each box comes with a gift card for a one-year Kroger Boost membership, which provides perks like free grocery delivery, 2X fuel points, and exclusive savings.

To claim a free Hour Back Box, customers can click here beginning at 12 p.m. EST on March 4. The boxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. For those who miss out, Kroger is offering 39,000 free breakfast items starting March 7 at 12 p.m. EST. Customers can claim a digital coupon for a free item.

Kroger is also offering additional savings through its Boost by Kroger Plus membership, which can save customers up to $1,100 per year on fuel, exclusive discounts, and grocery delivery.

Hoosiers will “spring forward” an hour on Sunday, March 9. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m., so be sure to reset your clocks.
