Four Years of Farming Life for A Couple Kids Family Farm

A Couple Kids Family Farm has been living the dream for four years now, transforming from a suburban lifestyle to a life of farming. The journey began in 2020 when the couple, with a deep passion for agriculture, left their old roots behind to pursue their dreams.

The turning point came when their oldest son showed sensitivity to cow's milk, prompting them to focus on alternative milk products. They acquired a farm and some goats, and the natural decision was made to start producing and selling goat milk products. This move not only helped offset costs for feed and hay but also brought the farm closer to self-sustainability.

"The kids have really taken to helping out with the farm," said the couple. "They love feeding the goats and collecting eggs from our chickens." The herd of goats holds a special place in their hearts, with the baby goats being an integral part of their growing farm business.

The family's homemade products are now available at Handmade on Main in Sheridan and Olde Thyme Mercantile in Kokomo. They also offer local deliveries and driveway pickups, and plan to open a farm market stand later this year.
