Spring Warming Up
Spring is warming up in Central Indiana, with near-normal conditions and plenty of sunshine on tap for the rest of the week.
We've already seen a significant amount of rainfall this month, with over 7 inches falling - more than 4 inches above normal. This is nothing new, as the most rainfall for April has been recorded at over 8 inches in the 1800s.
Today will be partly cloudy with high temperatures reaching into the '60s and gusty winds of up to 20-25 miles per hour.
"You won't need a jacket in the afternoon, but it'll be chilly in the morning with temperatures in the 40s."
Tonight will be much cooler, with lows falling into the 40s and partly cloudy skies. Winds will also begin to drop overnight.
The extended forecast looks promising, with dry conditions continuing for several days. Wednesday is looking particularly beautiful, with partly cloudy skies and high temperatures reaching the upper 70s - well above the normal high of 66.
However, Thursday will see a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms as a storm system moves across the Great Lakes. This rain chance will continue into the weekend.
