Teacher on Leave Amid Allegations of Inappropriate Student Relationship
A Frankfort High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave amid allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to a statement from the district.
The investigation began after a student confided in a teacher about the alleged relationship during a cyber-awareness presentation at the high school. The teacher who received the report followed protocol and reported the matter to the school administration, which then involved the Frankfort Police Department and the Indiana Department of Child Services.
"The teacher who received the report did exactly what they're supposed to do," said Superintendent Matt Rhoda. "They followed procedure and brought it to our attention."
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details about the allegations or the teacher or student involved have been released. The school board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. to consider canceling the teacher's contract.
