Blooming Death: Man Shot and Killed in Bloomington
A man was fatally shot in Bloomington, Indiana on Thursday night, according to the Bloomington Police Department.Police were called to a residence on the 1000 block of N Summit Street around 10:28 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, later identified as 48-year-old Brian Thacker, with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving measures being administered, Thacker was pronounced deceased after being transported to an area hospital.The police department has collected evidence, including the gun believed to have been used in the shooting, and all involved parties have been identified as knowing one another.
