Cold and Sunny Conditions with Snow Expected

A bitterly cold day is expected across much of Indiana, with temperatures in the single digits and wind chill values below zero at times. Despite the cold, plenty of sunshine is forecasted for the day, with highs reaching around 24 degrees.

Nighttime will bring increasing cloud cover as a new storm system approaches the state, with low temperatures expected to fall into the teens across central Indiana.

Tomorrow, a winter weather advisory will be in effect from early morning until Saturday morning. Snow is expected to begin falling later in the morning and continue through the afternoon hours, with accumulations of 1-3 inches likely. Some areas south and east of Indianapolis may see slightly higher accumulation, up to 3-4 inches.

The evening commute tomorrow could be affected by snowfall, which will continue into the late evening hours before tapering off after midnight.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will be mostly cloudy with highs around 28 degrees. Sunday is expected to be mainly clear, with highs reaching 32 degrees - the warmest we'll see in the next 7 days. A chance for some snow returns late Sunday into early Monday morning, but significant accumulation doesn't seem likely.

Next week will bring cold temperatures again, with highs only around 28 on Monday and dipping into the teens by Tuesday.
