Double Shooting in Indianapolis Claims Two Lives

A fatal double shooting in Indianapolis claimed the lives of two people: a 12-year-old juvenile and a 24-year-old man. The incident occurred early Saturday morning.

According to reports, police were called to the scene in the 5100 block of West 38th Street on the northwest side of the city after receiving calls about a person shot.

Police found a vehicle with both occupants suffering from gunshot wounds and in critical condition. Despite efforts to save them, IMPD confirmed at 12:15 p.m. that both victims had succumbed to their injuries.

The juvenile victim was identified as Isreal Offett, while the man was named Wayland Coe. Less than 24 hours after the shooting, police arrested 19-year-old Anthony Bean in connection with the crime, charging him with two counts of murder.
