Krispy Kreme Heist: Woman Steals Doughnut Delivery Truck

An Indianapolis woman was arrested Tuesday morning after stealing a delivery truck containing dozens of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Amber Fitzpatrick, 32, is accused of making off with the stolen vehicle just before 1 a.m. while its driver was inside making a delivery.

According to police, when Fitzpatrick got behind the wheel, she sped off but lost control of the truck, causing its back doors to swing open and littering the street with doughnuts, boxes, crates, and other equipment.

"These bad boys do look delicious, though."

Bodycam video shared by police shows officers cleaning up Fitzpatrick's mess.

The delivery driver tracked down the truck through GPS, leading police to find it around 20 minutes away from where it was taken. There, they also found Fitzpatrick and took her into custody, booking her into the Marion County jail on charges of auto theft and paraphernalia possession.
