School Bus Crash: No Serious Injuries After Hit-and-Run Incident in Indianapolis
A school bus crashed into a utility pole on Indianapolis' east side, causing no serious injuries to the passengers or driver. The incident occurred at the intersection of East 21st Street and North Ritter Avenue around 6:20 am.
"The bus was transporting students to Andrew J. Brown Academy when the crash occurred," said IMPD.
The bus sustained heavy front-end damage, a utility pole was knocked down, and a stoplight dangled from an overhead wire. There were no injuries that required hospitalization, according to police.
The cause of the accident is still unclear, but investigators are looking into whether wet driving conditions may have been a factor.
The intersection has been closed for crash investigation and cleanup.
