Shooting at Monument Circle Leaves Multiple Injured

At least three people were injured in a shooting early Monday morning on Monument Circle, according to Indianapolis police. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m., when officers working crowd control near Gainbridge Fieldhouse reported hearing multiple gunshots.

"Numerous people have been detained, but their involvement in the shooting is unclear and no arrests have been made." - IMPD Public Information Officer Drew Brown

Police located two men and a woman with gunshot wounds. All three victims were stable when transported to hospitals, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

"Several witnesses stayed at the scene and are cooperating with investigators," added Officer Brown.

Monument Circle remains closed for cleanup and investigation.
