Spring-like Weather Ahead: A Cool Start to the Week

A cold start to your Friday morning, but we're expecting temperatures to warm up later in the weekend and spring-like weather is heading our way by early next week.

Temperatures this morning will be into the teens with wind chill values into the single digits. We'll see a little bit of cloud cover early on today, but we expect sunny skies for the afternoon. High pressure builds in across much of the Great Lakes and that keeps us quiet for the day today. Temperatures will climb around the freezing mark later this afternoon.

Tonight, skies will clear later this evening and temperatures will be falling into the 20s if you're heading out for dinner. We'll see partly cloudy skies throughout the night tonight, and it's going to be another cold one with lows falling into the teens.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we expect temperatures to be slightly warmer. On Saturday, look for mostly sunny skies with high temperatures climbing around 35. That's near normal for this time of year. We'll see similar readings on Sunday, but with a little more cloud cover expected.

In our 7-day extended forecast, spring-like weather is heading our way by the beginning of the new work week. On Monday, look for partly cloudy skies with highs near 50. Showers will be possible on Tuesday and Wednesday, with high temperatures sticking around into the lower 50s.

Temperatures do drop back into the 40s, which is near normal for this time of year, on Thursday. Rain chances will also be possible on Thursday as well.
