Tornado Warning Issued for Fountain and Montgomery Counties Until 8:15 PM

A tornado watch has been issued through 9 p.m. EDT Tuesday for eight Indiana counties west and northwest of Indianapolis, as well as much of north central Illinois.

A few tornadoes are possible, as well as scattered hail up to 2 inches in diameter, and scattered gusts up to 70 mph. A tornado warning was issued for portions of Vermillion and Warren counties about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, but it was later canceled after 25 minutes.

The affected Indiana counties are Benton, Fountain, Montgomery, Parke, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren. Cities in the watch area include Crawfordsville, Lafayette, Terre Haute, and West Lafayette.
