West Side Crash Leaves Infant Critically Injured and 4 Others Hurt
An infant was critically injured and four others were hurt in a west side car crash on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. when two vehicles, one silver and one maroon, collided at an intersection near North Tibbs Avenue and West Walnut Street.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a serious crash.
"All four people inside the silver vehicle, including the infant, were taken to hospitals for treatment," said IMPD. "The driver in the maroon vehicle was the only occupant and was also taken to a hospital."
The 600 block of North Tibbs Avenue was closed for several hours while officers investigated the cause of the crash.
