Canadian Steel Manufacturer to Establish US Headquarters in Bloomington

Canadian-based steel manufacturer Almvoy American has announced plans to establish its US manufacturing headquarters in Bloomington, Indiana. This major investment in the city's advanced manufacturing sector is expected to create new jobs and boost production capacity for the company's custom steel products.

The new facility will enable Almvoy to better serve its US customer base with faster lead times and closer collaboration. The company's expansion into southern Indiana includes plans to manufacture monopoles, equipment platforms, and solar structures.

“Our mission is to build more than structures — we build trust, partnerships, and a strong, structured future,” said President of Almvoy American Dominic Blago. “Establishing a U.S. presence in Bloomington allows us to better serve our customers and collaborate closely with local partners.”

The Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) supported the company throughout the site selection and development process, providing resources for approvals and workforce development.

“We are thrilled to welcome Almvoy American to Bloomington,” said Jennifer Pearl, president of the BEDC. “Their investment underscores the strength of our manufacturing sector and the appeal of our community as a destination for growing industries.”

The company's decision to establish its US headquarters in Bloomington is a strategic step in strengthening its regional partnerships and footprint. The move aligns with Bloomington's status as a regional employment hub, expected to generate a positive ripple effect through the local supply chain.
