Lebanon Concrete Cutting Business Suffers Fire Damage
A fire on Wednesday afternoon significantly damaged a concrete cutting business just a few blocks west of the Boone County Courthouse, according to the Lebanon Fire Department.The blaze was reported just before 3 p.m. at 120 N. Blair St. No one was hurt in the incident. The first responders were the Lebanon Police Department officers who arrived on the scene shortly after the fire was reported. They were followed by firefighters who managed to control the blaze within an hour."Witnesses reported hearing an explosion at the site, and the business owner noted that flammable liquids were stored in the building," said a statement from the Lebanon Fire Department.An investigation into the cause of the fire found that it began accidentally near a portable hydraulic machine in the workshop. Video footage showed a small fire starting near the machine's battery.
