Coldplay Concert Sparks CEO's Resignation

Astronomer, a tech company, announced that CEO Andy Byron has resigned one day after he was placed on leave. The reason for his departure was a video that went viral on social media, showing Byron intimately hugging the company's head of human relations, Kristin Cabot, at a Coldplay concert.

The video, taken during the band's performance of "Jumbotron Song," showed Byron and Cabot embracing at Gillette Stadium in Boston on Wednesday. The camera panned to them as they were wrapped in each other's arms, prompting them to quickly separate and try to hide their faces.

"As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met," the company said in a statement. "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted."

In response to the situation, Astronomer will begin searching for a permanent CEO, with Pete DeJoy, chief product officer, serving as interim CEO.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked about the moment during the concert, saying, "Whoa, look at these two. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."

The incident has since gone viral on social media, with some sports teams even recreating the scene during their own "Kiss Cam" promotions.
