Cutie Finds Forever Home

The number 13 may be considered unlucky by some, but it's turning out to be a lucky charm for Cutie, a spunky shelter pup in Boone County. Thirteen months ago, Cutie arrived at the Humane Society, where she quickly became a staff favorite with her big heart and bold personality.

Despite being a beloved fixture at the shelter, Cutie is still waiting to find her forever home. But she's not just any ordinary dog - she's a "zoom queen" one minute, a "nap ninja" the next. With instincts like an explorer and snuggle skills like a weighted blanket, Cutie is suspiciously smart and loves to learn new tricks.

Cutie gets along well with other dogs, is comfortable in her crate, and would thrive in a home with adults and older kids who understand her energetic yet laid-back vibe. She's also a big fan of playing in kiddie pools on hot summer days.

Cutie isn’t just looking for any home — she’s ready for her people, those who know that sometimes, the very best dogs are the ones who’ve waited a little longer… and have way more love to give because of it.

Not only is Cutie a fantastic shelter sweetheart, but she also looks great in a tutu. Alexis Durbin of Friends of the Humane Society says, "Come meet her. You might just change her life... and she'll absolutely change yours!"
