Diddy Seeks Pardon from President Trump
A lawyer for Sean "Diddy" Combs has confirmed that the music mogul is seeking a presidential pardon. This request comes despite President Donald Trump describing a potential pardon as "difficult" just days prior.
"It's my understanding that we've reached out and had conversation in reference to a pardon,” Combs attorney Nicole Westmoreland told CNN. “... I think that Mr. Combs is a very hopeful person, and I believe that he remains hopeful."
Combs' legal team remains optimistic despite the complications that arose from Trump's previous negative remarks about him. The two have had an inconsistent relationship, with Trump acknowledging a pleasant rapport in the past.
Combs currently faces up to 20 years in prison for charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution. However, legal experts anticipate a shorter term could be handed down by the judge.
