Free Hiring Event Hosted by WorkOne Indy with Government-Certified Employers

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development's WorkOne is hosting a free hiring event, encouraging job seekers to attend. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, government-certified employers looking to fill open job positions will be at WorkOne Indy, located at 4410 Shadeland Ave.

In 2024, over 200 job seekers attended an event hosted by EmployIndy and the Good Wages Initiative, which was designed to certify Marion County employers who provide full-time employees a wage of at least $18 per hour, and access to employer-sponsored health insurance benefits. This initiative aims to support workers in their pursuit of better wages and benefits.

Participating employers include Blue Polymers; City Wide Facility Solutions; Child Care Answers; Christel House Indianapolis; Connor Painting; EmployIndy; Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center; Horizon House; Indiana Tech; Indianapolis Airport Authority; Indianapolis Public Library; Main Event Merchandise Group; Martin University; Mays Chemical, a Ravago Company; MM Packaging; Protection Plus Inc.; and Shepherd Community Center.
