Fatal Shooting at Indianapolis Gas Station in July
A man who was shot in July on the east side of Indianapolis has died, prompting an investigation into a homicide by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
The shooting occurred at 12:35 a.m. on July 6 at the Shell gas station located at the corner of East New York Street and North Sherman Drive.
"A light green 1958 Ford hardtop two-door was found at the shooting scene, and it appears that a handgun was used in the shooting," said an IMPD report.
The victim, whose identity has not been released by IMPD, was taken to a hospital in critical condition after the shooting and ultimately died on Sunday.
