Indiana Issues Silver Alert for Missing Hammond Woman with Alzheimer's Disease
The Hammond Police Department issued a Silver Alert for Dorothy Harris, a missing woman with Alzheimer's disease. Harris, 71, was last seen walking away from a Walmart in north Hammond between 11:40 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.
Harris is described as a Black female, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a zebra print scarf, black sweatshirt, black pants, and a pair of black sparkly tennis shoes at the time of her disappearance.
"Harris is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical attention," said the police department in their statement.
