Scorching Heatwave Continues Unrelenting
A scorching heatwave continues to grip central Indiana, with no end in sight. Just last weekend, temperatures were in the 70s, but residents can expect little relief from the heat and humidity in the near future.
"There is a very isolated chance of a stray shower this afternoon, but the overwhelming majority remain dry," says the forecast. The high temperature today will reach near 90 degrees, with the heat index expected to soar into the mid-90s.
Tonight will be mostly clear and muggy, with low temperatures dipping into the low-70s. Tomorrow will bring partly cloudy skies and humidity, with a small chance of scattered showers but most areas remaining dry.
The 7-day forecast looks bleak for those seeking relief from the summer heat. Scattered showers and storms are expected to roll in late Tuesday and Wednesday, but temperatures will remain stuck in the mid-to-upper 80s, potentially reaching challenging heights of 90 degrees next weekend again.
