Teen Driver Kills Woman in Pedestrian Accident Outside Pendleton
A woman died on Wednesday morning after being struck by a 17-year-old driver in a pedestrian accident outside Pendleton, Indiana.Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the 9100 block of South County Road 150 West around 9 a.m. to investigate a pedestrian-struck incident. The area is about seven minutes southeast of downtown Pendleton, just off State Route 38.The deputies located the woman dead at the scene and soon learned that she had been hit by a 2013 Jeep Wrangler driven by the 17-year-old male. The accident remains under investigation, but it was not clear if the teen was arrested or would face charges.The woman's identity has not been released.
