Warm Weather Ahead: Warmer Temperatures Expected This Week

Warm weather ahead: temperatures expected to rise into the mid and upper '80s this week in parts of Indiana.

Fall may be just 13 days away, but it's going to feel more like summer for the afternoons. Despite rising temperatures, humidity levels will remain manageable, and nighttime lows will be comfortable.

Today: Expect a cool start with temperatures in the '40s, followed by mostly sunny skies and high temperatures of around 80 degrees - slightly above average. This pleasant weather is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Tonight: If you're heading out to watch the Indiana Fever or Indianapolis Indians game, you can expect quiet conditions with temperatures dropping into the lower 70s by tip-off and first pitch. No rain is forecasted at either venue, and skies will be mostly clear overnight with lows in the middle '50s.

Tomorrow: Plenty of sunshine on Wednesday, with dry conditions continuing and high temperatures climbing into the lower '80s.

7-Day Extended Forecast: Temperatures are expected to soar into the mid and upper '80s for the end of the week and the weekend. We could get close to 90 degrees by Saturday and Sunday, while dry conditions persist. However, we'll need to keep an eye out as some parts of the state are under drought conditions, and there's a slight chance of showers on Sunday.
