PORTLAND - Arrow McLaren teammates Christian Lundgaard and Pato O’Ward put on a show in qualifying at Portland International Raceway, with the duo taking the top two spots in the Firestone Fast 6.Lundgaard captured the pole position with a lap time of 58.393 seconds, while O’Ward was just behind him with a lap time of 58.534 seconds.However, Lundgaard will not start first on Sunday's BITNILE.com Grand Prix of Portland after being assessed a six-position grid penalty for an unapproved engine change following Friday's practice. As a result, he will start seventh, while O’Ward will lead the field to green."This was kind of best-case scenario for us, obviously, with a six-place grid penalty," Lundgaard said after qualifying on the television broadcast. "I'm just proud of this team."Meyer Shank Racing's Felix Rosenqvist, who posted the third fastest lap in the Firestone Fast 6, will start alongside O’Ward in row one.O’Ward entered the weekend 121 points behind Alex Palou in the IndyCar standings. Palou is the only driver who can clinch the series title on Sunday, and he qualified sixth but will move up to the fifth starting spot due to Lundgaard's penalty.The green flag will wave on Sunday at a little after 3 p.m. EDT.
