Clark Expected to Miss Game Against New York

Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark is expected to miss Tuesday's game against the New York Liberty due to a right groin injury, according to head coach Stephanie White.

Clark suffered the injury during last Tuesday's game in Boston against the Connecticut Sun and was subsequently sidelined for Saturday's All-Star Game. She also missed Friday's three-point shooting contest as a result of the injury.

"I think she's progressing," White said. "I think we're continuing to address everything that needs to be addressed. She's going to see some doctors and get some more tests run earlier in the week. I don't expect her to be available on Tuesday, so we're just going to continue to take it one day at a time and let her get her evaluations earlier this week. Once we've done that, hopefully we'll have more of a clear mind of what it looks like."

Clark herself acknowledged the importance of balancing her recovery with enjoying All-Star weekend.

"I mean, I'm not going to say I've been getting around-the-clock treatment," Clark said before the All-Star Game. "I've been still trying to enjoy this weekend and having the balance of that at the same time and trying to soak all of this in, and once Sunday comes around, we'll completely shift my focus to getting as healthy as possible."

The Fever travel back to New York Tuesday to face the Liberty for the second time in a week. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern.
