Colts Prove Themselves in Training Camp

The Indianapolis Colts are back in action, and the energy is palpable as they move into Training Camp at Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, Indiana.

"It feels like the first day of school again!" exclaimed cornerback Kenny Moore II. The team's excitement is contagious, with linebacker Zaire Franklin adding, "It's definitely exciting to get back. New year, just new opportunities."

Quarterback Anthony Richardson has been working hard to overcome a re-injured throwing shoulder and is ready to compete for the starting job against newcomer Daniel Jones.

"It'll be a fun competition to watch between these two guys. They're both very talented," said general manager Chris Ballard, who wouldn't commit to a timeline for naming the starter.

Receiver Michael Pittman Jr. echoed Ballard's sentiments: "It's competition, and that's the great thing about football."

The entire team is under pressure to get back to the playoffs, their longest drought since the 1990s.

"Not being able to get over that hump the last four years has definitely been frustrating," said defensive lineman DeForest Buckner. "Everybody needs to buy in and believe in the one goal that we're trying to accomplish, and that's win a Super Bowl."

Linebacker Zaire Franklin feels the weight of fan expectations: "They're upset, and they're demanding. And to be quite honest, I wouldn't have it any other way." He believes the team is hungry for success.

The Colts' Training Camp practice begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. and will run all week long at Grand Park.
